"HI
I was waiting for the last minute to write this email, and the time has come for the dreaded announcement.  I am sure by now most of you know that in the next 24 hours, once again the Haitian people will be out again to the test and have to ride out the hurricane.  The attitude here could be almost the same as to the earthquake.  People all around are just walking around helpless.  Most of those in tent don't even try to do anything as there is nothing they can do.  Indeed what to do.  Most of them I spoke to only reply that they cannot do much but they will survive this.  Around Port au Prince today we were meeting with different organizations to find measures for the control of this cholera epidemic and all of a sudden at 1:00 the meeting was stopped as now we had to focus on the hurricane.  I am sorry today my email does not make too much sense I don't know what to say, I cannot find the drive to come up with too much positive as these people have suffered so much.  I would even say "enough".  What is even more discouraging is that for the past 4 months we have built close to 60 houses, repaired quite a few more.  Those people today that were in tents now have permanent houses.  Why couldn't others do the same.  Some organizations put up over 3000 temporary houses, rapped them in "plastic"  Well, guess what the wind is going to do to those houses?  I heard on the news this morning some reported referring to the tents cities as "a third world country, in a third world country".  So true.  Anyway, I am sorry today I will not stay long.  I just cannot find the words.
Please pray for the Haitian people, pray for those kids, babies that are under those tents.  Please pray for our leaders, for the international community to finally WAKE UP and say Enough is Enough we cannot let good Christian people suffer so much.  So leaders say "It's time for CHANGE", they should also think, "let's change how the people of Haiti live."
Sorry for the extra emotion.
Thank you"
